Just because the wedding days are over, this doesn’t mean that the fun is over too!

During our Walima, a lot of relatives and guests were asking me to visit their home. I was thinking they’re probably just being friendly so they’re inviting me. We never do this back in our country so I was clueless how legit these invites were. Turns out this is part of the tradition too.

Day 3 – Walima

Here we are! Last but definitely not the least, Walima!

This is the grand reception thrown by the groom’s parents to let all relatives and friends know about the marriage. Walima is like a Hollywood party with all its glitz and glamour. A Filipina’s Big Fat Pakistani Wedding – Part 1

Hi friends! It’s Alvie here! If you haven’t guessed it already, yes, I am a Filipina married to an awesome Pakistani guy named Rizwan.

I never thought I’d be writing a blog about my wedding – anything about myself in fact! AAAAHHH! But here I am!
What urged me to do this then? This is me finally realizing, after 2 years, that I’ve never really told my friends nor anyone in my family what and how the wedding went. I was able to share a bit more photos to some of my family and friends though, plus the 3 posts on my Instagram account. (Click here to follow me)
